Fortunately, a Truma error doesn't happen constantly, but when it does, you're sitting on the floor in front of your Grand California, seemingly unscrewing 200 screws from the bench board. And then there are the factory-installed adhesive strips that are placed directly over the screws. It was precisely for this situation that we developed the foldable dinette bench.

The idea originally came from a friend in the community and has been with us in our own Grand California for almost two years now. We are now mass-producing the panel so that you too can access the Truma, frost monitor, and water valve in seconds.

How it works

You replace the original seat panel with our version. It is only screwed in at the back; at the front, the panel simply folds upwards. This gives you instant access to the technology under the seat. No screw marathon, no removing adhesive tape, no cursing in case of an error.

Each panel is individually milled on the CNC, Made in Germany, using the original screw holes as mounting points. The panel can be used with or without a seat belt bracket; we make no changes to the seat belt bracket itself.

Concerns about fastening?

Understandable question. But take a look at how the original plate actually sits: It is only held in place by four adhesive strips from the factory; the seat surface itself is never firmly connected to the seat frame. This means that with our plate, the fastening is essentially identical to the original solution. You sit just as securely as before.
