An absurd EU rule is stopping our shipments to other EU countries

We have something to tell you that truly annoys us. Since August 19th, we can only deliver to Germany and the United Kingdom. If you live in other EU countries, unfortunately, you currently cannot order from us. And that's not our fault.

The culprit is the new EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, or PPWR for short. It sounds harmless but is a bureaucratic monster in practice. If we want to deliver to an EU country, we have to register there individually, submit ongoing reports, and pay fees, just for the packaging around your parcel. And not even centrally, but anew in each individual country. For a large corporation with its own legal department, this is an annoyance. For a small retailer like us, it's simply not manageable.

Honestly, we find this ridiculous. In the name of environmental protection, a hurdle is being built that ultimately achieves the opposite. Small, honest retailers disappear from the EU market, and what remains are the large platforms that can afford this effort. There's not much left of a common European single market.

What this means for you: If you are in Germany or the UK, nothing changes. We will continue to deliver as usual, as you know it. Only shipping to other EU countries has been stopped. And as soon as there is a solution that is feasible for us, we will immediately resume shipping to these countries. That's a promise.

If you find this as absurd as we do, you can do something. There is a petition against this packaging regulation, which aims to protect small online retailers. Please sign it, it takes less than a minute: Sign the petition.

Thank you for your support. And an honest apology to everyone we currently cannot supply. We dislike this decision as much as you do.
