Upgrade kit for your auxiliary heater
Does your Grand California have an auxiliary heater? Then upgrade it to an auxiliary heater! All you need is the appropriate CAN gateway T6.x, and your Cali will now have an auxiliary heater.
How do I know if my vehicle has an auxiliary heater?
It's very simple: If your VW Crafter, Grand California or MAN TGE has an auxiliary heater, you will find a "Webasto" sticker on the left B-pillar.
My vehicle already has an air heater – is a water heater still worth it?
Yes, definitely! Even if your vehicle is already equipped with an auxiliary air heater, it may be a good idea to upgrade the existing heater to a water heater. Why? It's simple: The air heater only warms the interior, not the coolant or the engine. And since the warm air comes from the rear vents and not from the vents on the windshield, it takes forever for your windows to finally defrost.
How do I control the fan in the interior?
Don't worry, it's super easy. Included in the delivery is a module that simply plugs into the connector on the back of the climate control panel. This will control the interior fan, and you're ready to go.
Which controls can I use?
After the upgrade, you can easily turn the heating and ventilation on and off with a +12V signal. Whether you use a switch, button, or other control element – anything that provides a +12V output signal will work. And if you select a control element when ordering, the appropriate connection cable for the CAN gateway is included.
